**What is Fraction**?

Fraction 1/2: If the figure is divided into 2 equal parts. Half part of it colored or shaded, it shows fraction 1/2. 1/2 is read as one upon two.

Fraction 1/4: If the figure shows one part colored from all four parts. We can write this fraction as: 1/4. 1/4 is read as one upon four.

Fraction 3/4: Figure has total 4 parts and if the three parts are shaded, it is called a fraction 3/4. We read it as three upon four.
