I can't create a poll for a forum thread

Hi,

When I tried to create a poll for a forum thread created by me, I was unable to do so. I got the message, 'Restricted access'. I request webmasters to allow me to do so.
I am a new member and have not created any poll till the day, so there is no question of violation of any guidelines. So, please grant me the permission so that in future I can create a poll for my forum thread.
