Teaching Methods for the Students of Primary Section
This resource gives an idea about how a teacher can teach the students relate to primary section. In this article, I have given my experience with the students of primary section. I have specified the nature of clever students and how can they are controlled by the teacher.
Different teaching methods those are taken by teacher to handle pupil of primary section:
Generally, when a teacher is appointed to primary school he becomes confused what to be taught to the pupil. This is the main problem faced by B.Ed., candidates because they got training in secondary section. Lesson plans learned by them are not suitable for planning a lesson to a primary section.
For that purpose, many educationists has framed the teaching methods to teach the pupil of primary section. Montessori who was a great educationist introduced play-way method. By this method, first students are motivated by the teacher to make their concentration on the subject. By using a Small stories we can make the children interest in the study. Fiction stories and ancient stories make the children to begin into joyful learning.
As a teacher of primary section, I overcome hurdles in teaching to the pupil. Generally, in a class room clever students will be in 20 to 40 percentage remaining are like below average. These clever students make more noise as compares with other students. As they grasp the subject very fast compare with other so they have no work to do. In that situation, I decrease my burden through teach subject by clever students to below average students. This makes clever students as active participation in teaching learning process.
I observe in the school that some students want to sit alone without talking to other. I make that type of students to be active by talking with them about their family matters and other things. Now, those students are some what active.
For secondary students we can teach a lesson as a whole. But it is not possible for primary students because they cannot understand the subject. Primary students are new to school so they learn how to mingle with atmosphere of school. Therefore, individual teaching is more appropriate for primary students.
According to Education Psychology, there are individual differences in the pupils so pupils have different learning levels to understanding the subjects. Whatever activities we apply for the pupils are not switched on their cognition. As a teacher, one has to make more activities to do with the primary students to understand the subject.
Highly educated writing profess displayed by the author and this resource would be a great help to those who are doing their teacher job for the primary section.
