Penguin is the most amazing bird. They cannot fly but they do fly through the water with their flippers. Penguins are not found only in cold climates, such as Antarctica.

1. Penguins are flightless birds
2. Most penguins can swim about 15 miles per hour.
3. Penguins are warm blooded and their normal body temperature of about 100 degrees F.
4. There are at least 18 different species of penguins.
5. The area where penguins mate, nest and raise their chicks is called a "rookery".
6. Penguins don't jump, they BOUNCE

Instructions to draw the Penguin


Step 1: Draw a grid with two equal squares as shown in the picture given below. Draw the head and body shape in the correct position on the grid.

Step 2: Draw the beak of the Penguin in front of the head space and also draw the eye and the mouth of the penguin. Draw in the neck as shown in the picture given below which flows onto the head and the body shapes. Also draw the shapes of legs.

Step 3: Draw the flippers (wings of Penguin) around the middle of the belly. Draw the feet of the penguin and rest of the body lines as shown in the figures.
