Indian Independence day speech for school children
India is celebrating its 65th Independence day on Aug 15th 2011. Every school and institution in India, celebrates this day by hoisting the tri-colour flag and saluting the heroes of yesterday and today. It is a practice for one of the student to deliver a small speech on Independence Day.
Honourable Chief Guest, distinguished guests, our respected teachers, parents and all my friends. We are celebrating our 65th Independence day in this year 2011.
On this day it is the duty of young Indians like us, who have born in this free India to pay homage to our leaders and fore fathers who have been the back bone of freedom struggle and have got us freedom after a span of 200 years. It is our duty to keep in mind the sacrifices made my many, the struggles faced by all to achieve this freedom.
India have come a very long way in the path of freedom. We are the largest democracy in the world and in the recent past, we have many Indians who have made all the Indians very proud. Right from Golden girl PT Usha many sports people have proved themselves in the world arena and have made heads turn towards Indian sports people.
Not only in the world of sports but also in many fields, we have great people proving to the world that India is not a developing but is at the verge of becoming a developed country. Though in many fields we are yet to attain full and complete development, every year we are making our steps of progress to reach the goal.
We the students of India have to fullfill the dream of our ex-President, Dr. Abdul Kalam, in making India the most powerful nation in the world by the year 2020. It is our duty to keep our eyes, ears and senses open and observe all that is happenning around us and when it is our day, we should all ensure that we have a corrupt free and green India. We should learn to respect our country, our flag and our anthem.
On this day, along with you all, I salute all the war heros and command soldiers and happiness.
we all should take a pledge that it is our duty to keep our steps strongly and firmly to make all the dreams of our elders and forefathers about our nation come true.
Jai Hind
