Independence Day is a National holiday in India. It is the day when India won her Independence at midnight on the eve of 15th August, 1947, from the British Government. So let us all celebrate our freedom day for which our leaders and many men and women have fought bravely and lost their lives. In this resource I have attached few printables of our Independence day.

Independence Day in India is celebrated in India on 15th August. On this day, Government offices, schools and colleges are given holiday. Our Prime Minister hoists the flag at the Red Fort which is followed by a parade. Even in Schools and Colleges the National Flag is hoisted with the children singing our National Anthem.
