Dussehra is an important festival celebrated mainly in India, Nepal and Bangladesh with great joy and fervor. It is also known as Vijayadashami – 'symbol of Victory of good over evil'. After nine days Navratri (durga puja), tenth day is the vijaydashami. As per legend on this day lord Rama killed the great demon Ravana who had abducted Rama's wife Sita to Lanka (his capital).
Ramleela play – the story of Shri Rama is played for nine nights and on tenth day Ravana killed by Shri Rama. Dussehra celebration starts with dussehra pooja in morning and in evening people gather in fares arranged nearby where after completion of 'Ramleela' the huge statues of Ravana, Kumbhkarna (his brother) and Meghnada (his son) are burnt with crackers planted inside.
