Lohri is the festival of joy and agricultural winter's celebration. Kids enjoy this festival with groundnut and a sugar candy sweet named 'Rewri'. Lohri is one of the popular festivals in India. Lohri Festival is celebrated on the eve of winter solstice. It is mainly Punjabi's and Dogra's festival. As 'Lohri' is celebrated on the eve of winter solstice day so, people also believe that Lohri night is meant to be the longest night of the year. The festival is celebrated at night with common fire at a many places. On this occasion, the collected Rewri, groundnut, flour, popcorn etc. thrown into the fire for worship of god and then distributed to all devotees. Dance programs are also arranged at night around the fire.
