Activity for Children: How to Make a Paper Bookmark?

Step 5: Paint the whole bookmark colourfully. Let it dry properly. You can also add either your name or your child's name to make it customised.

Step 6: Insert a thick thread through the whole. Children will find it easier to hold the bookmark if it has a beautiful thread attached to it. You can use a thick thread you usually find in craft shops. Or you can use woolen thread as well.

Step 7: Add a few beads to the thread and then tie it if you want to make it more beautiful. Adding a few beads not only adds to the beauty of the bookmark, but all these makes sure that the child doesn't lose the bookmark easily. Weightless bookmark get lost easily. In a small wind, they will get flown off. Children may put them between the pages of a book and then forget all about them. If the bookmark has a few beads on it, you can avoid these problems.
