Do you think some one from England and the other from somewhere else call them (i.e the Birds) by the same name? How would you call them in German language? Birds are beautiful and they look more beautiful when they fly, because they feel very happy flying!

"I wish I could have Wings like Birds.." - this is the wish we all want to be fulfilled, isn't it? And this wish only led the scientists invent the Airplane, imagine! It's true! And that is why we can fly in the sky! :)



Well, like we have names, so that everyone can call us, recognize us.., do you think that birds might have their names too! Then how do we know them?

Actually, kids, some birds are similar in nature, food habit, living style, physical structure i.e the architecture etc., and based on these birds are grouped in different categories, given a Scientific name and a common name. And we know them by their common names, which those birds even don't know! The scientific is same in always, BUT the Common name differs due to different religions, local languages..

And that is why if an American calls a bird "CROW", an Indian says it "Kaak" / "Ka-oo-aa", a German calls it "Rabe" (i.e "Rah-bay") and so on.
