How to Make Bandhanwar or Door Hanging at Home for Diwali Decorations

Making Bandhanwar for Diwali decoration at home is very easy and fun filled. You can make Bandhanwars or Door hangings at home with the help of some simple material easily available in the market or you can also find them at home and believe me these looks so beautiful that you forget about the market door hangings.
Material required to make Bandhanwars or Door hangings at home
1. Cardboard or any other hard sheet
2. Some colored sheets
3. Kundan crystals or beads
4. Water color and brush
5. Glue, Scissor
6. Pencil, Black marker
7. Golden ribbon or any other color ribbon, Rubber bands Procedure to make Bandhanwars or Door hangings at home
Step-1 to make Bandhanwars or Door hangings at home: First take a cardboard and draw any shape you like such as mango, leaf, Oval, hexagon like I draw my favorite bell shape and cut it with the help of scissor as shown below.
Step-2 to make Bandhanwars at home: Draw any design you like on the shape you cut out from the cardboard like I do and paint it with your favorite colors. Try to use bright and shining colors such as red, yellow, blue or green. Let it dry.
Step-3 to make Bandhanwars or Door hangings : Paste the Kundan crystals on the painted shape to make beautiful design as shown below. It is good to draw your design with pencil before pasting the crystals so that there will be less chances of mistake. If you not able to find Kundan crystals you can just paint the design, it also looks beautiful.
Step-4 to make Bandhanwars or Door hangings : Take colored sheets (choose any color like I use red color sheet) and cut 1" strip from it and 1" strip of arc shaped design and paste them on your cutout as shown below. Make as many as you want to hang usually 5-6 cutouts will be sufficient.
Step-5 to make Bandhanwars at home : Now paste all your cutouts on the golden ribbon at equal distance. Take the length of ribbon according the size of your door or where you want to hang your Bandhanwar. You can also staple the cutouts on ribbon to make them strongly attached. Tie rubber band at the both ends of your ribbon so that you can hang your creation easily.
